2012 BUFFALO NIAGARA BUSINESS ETHICS AWARD FINALISTS SELECTED

(Buffalo, NY – March 15th, 2012) Nine Western New York companies have been selected as finalists for the 2012 Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Award. The finalists are: Cortese Construction Services, Digits LLC and Linde LLC in the small business category with fewer than 50 employees; The A.J. Baynes Group, Mollenberg -Betz Inc. and Nussbaumer & Clarke, Inc. in the mid-sized business category of 50-150 employees and Allpro Parking, The Hamister Group, Inc. and Ingram Micro Inc. in the large business category of over 150 employees.

Applications were reviewed by Canisius College MBA students who recommended the finalists in each category. A judging panel comprised of community leaders will meet later this month to select one finalist from each category as the crystal award winner.

“There is no better time than now to recognize ethical behavior,” said Fred Holender, Chair of the 2012 Award Steering Committee. “We’re proud to salute the finalists’ commitment to the high standards of ethical business practice throughout their organizations and the community.”

The 6th annual Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Awards will be presented Thursday, May 10th at a luncheon at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens. The BNBEA annual award event raises community awareness of ethical behavior and pays tribute to companies that consistently demonstrate ethical conduct in everything they do.

The 2012 Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Awards is presented by The Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Association in partnership with Lawley Insurance, Canisius College Wehle School of Business, Brock, Schechter & Polakoff, LLP and Key Bank.
