2013 BUFFALO NIAGARA BUSINESS ETHICS AWARD FINALISTS SELECTED

(Buffalo, NY – March 25th, 2013) Eight Western New York companies have been selected as finalists for the 2013 Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Award. The finalists are: Digits LLC, Elbers Landscape Service, Inc. and Robert Half International (Buffalo) in the small business category with fewer than 50 employees; The A.J. Baynes Group and Irish Companies in the mid-sized business category of 50-150 employees and Personal Touch Food Service, Inc., Rural Metro Medical Services and The Hamister Group Inc. in the large business category of over 150 employees.

Applications were reviewed by Canisius College MBA students who recommended the finalists in each category. A judging panel comprised of community leaders will meet to select one finalist from each category as the crystal award winner.

“There is no better time than now to recognize ethical behavior,” said Fred Holender, President of the Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Association and Chairman of the BNBEA Awards Steering Committee. “This year’s program received a record number of nominations and we’re proud to salute the finalists’ commitment to the highest of ethical business standards throughout their organizations and the community.”

The 7th annual Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Awards will be presented Thursday, May 9th at a luncheon at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens.  The BNBEA annual award event raises community awareness of ethical behavior and pays tribute to companies that consistently demonstrate ethical conduct in everything they do.

The 2013 Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Awards is presented by The Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Association in partnership with Lawley Insurance, Brock, Schechter & Polakoff, LLP, Canisius College Wehle School of Business, Key Bank, West Herr Automotive Group and media partners WBEN Radio, WGRZ Channel 2, Business First and WBFO Radio.
